Half Moon Orthodontics is named after a cozy, family-filled street where our founders, Dr. Mody and his wife, started their own family. They were inspired by how their street brought people together and fostered a sense of community – and envisioned creating a practice that could do the same for its patients. The name is a reflection of our commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment within our office. And we love that a ‘half moon’ also symbolizes a bright and happy smile!

As a board-certified orthodontist, Dr. Mody believes in providing a high-quality, tailored experience for you at Half Moon Orthodontics and utilizes the latest technology to make treatments easier and more comfortable. One of his favorite things about being an orthodontist is seeing how excited his patients are when they complete their smile transformation.

Personal
Dr. Mody was born and raised in Southern California. He met his wife, Rakhee, in Philadelphia while in dental school and together they decided to trade in east coast winters for SoCal sunshine. Fast forward a few years, and they are now cherishing the fun adventures of being parents to their two sons, Niam and Shay. In his free time, Dr. Mody enjoys traveling, hiking, following the Lakers, listening to podcasts, and making pizza for family and friends in his Ooni oven.
